Aria Charys McCamant Berlin

I am the sole creator behind Charys Ceramics. Clay and pottery has always been apart of my life but I did not start throwing pottery until 2014.

Growing up, my parents were natural builders so the idea of using clay to make functional objects was familiar. My Grandmother, Sally McCamant, was a potter and handmade pottery filled our kitchen cabinets.

I work out of a shared studio at the Tannery Arts Center. The studio houses 3 production ceramicists, an electric kiln, slab roller, and lots of space to create. Open every First Friday and by appointment. Workshop and class offerings here.

My pieces reflect the things in life that bring me joy - the ocean, the soil, and all the landscapes on the central coast of California. My hope is that each piece can make everyday routines more beautiful.
